Tenancy End Date
Sep 2021
The tenancy is terminated effective September 30, 2021. The Tenant must move out of the rental unit on or before July 31, 2021. If the unit is not vacated by July 31, 2021, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) to evict the Tenant.
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant because the Landlord requires possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation.
Landlord argues that he purchased the property in good faith and requires possession of the rental unit for his own residential occupation.
Landlord purchased the property in August 2019 for his retirement and wants to move into the Tenant's rental unit for his personal use.
Tenant argues that the Landlord should have taken the necessary steps to occupy the unit when he purchased the property in 2019, not now. Tenant needs 6 months to move due to her age and COVID-19.
Tenant has been living in the unit since 2013 and does not want to move out.
