The Landlord shall pay the Tenant a rent abatement of $754.46 for the time she was locked out of the unit and $100.00 for reasonable out-of-pocket expenses, for a total of $854.46. The Landlord shall pay the Tenant the full amount owing by January 20, 2017, and if the Landlord does not pay, the Landlord will owe interest at 2.00% annually on the balance outstanding.
Tenants applied for an order determining that the Landlords harassed, obstructed, coerced, threatened or interfered with the Tenant, entered the rental unit illegally, altered the locking system on a door giving entry to the rental unit or residential complex without giving the Tenant replacement keys, substantially interfered with the reasonable enjoyment of the rental unit or residential complex by the Tenant or by a member of the Tenant's household and withheld or deliberately interfered with the reasonable supply of a vital service, care service, or food that the Landlords are obligated to supply under the tenancy agreement.
Landlord changed the lock to the unit after the Tenant's friend was told to leave, and the Landlord failed to provide the Tenant with a replacement key.
Landlord failed to comply with the interim order to give the Tenant a key unconditionally.
Tenant's friend was told to leave the unit and not return, and the Tenant was locked out on June 13, 2016 with her belongings removed from the unit.
Tenant did not file the order with the Court Enforcement Office to recover possession of the unit.
